ABOUT

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which He has prepared in advance for us to do."   Ephesians 2:10

I’ve heard it said that life is like a three-act play

WE LEARN – WE EARN – WE RETURN

I’m now in my 60’s and guess what… I love it!  I have raised my kids, had a successful career and now it’s time to "sit back and smell the roses"…. Ummmm I don’t think so!  I am at that wonderful stage of life where I have the time and energy to follow my dreams and passions.   (Thank you, Chuck!)

I have discovered that my passion, and my joy come from using my time and talents to give back and inspire others.

In 2012 the words of Ephesians 2:10 jumped off the page and into my heart and inspired me to spearhead an all “Women Build” for our local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.  Over a two year period and with the help of so many others we raised over 75K, recruited hundreds of women volunteers, and created awareness in our community for the need for adequate housing... not to mention give a single mom and her 9 year old son a new home.

And guess what – it felt good!!  Really good!
I want more of that!!

I love to read, and two of my favorite books took on the challenge of changing their attitude to change their life… In this day of a 24/7 negative news cycle and a self-absorbed culture, I want to turn the focus to others…. by expressing gratitude to so many who do so much and by giving back to my community and my world.
Hopefully along the way I can inspire others to do the same, whether they’re in their third act or just beginning.

GRATITUDE + GIVING BACK = GROWTH

I’ve heard it said “If we’re not growing, we’re dying”… In my Third Act I’m not ready to slow down and take it easy… I want to live life to the fullest!

Michelangelo said at 87 years young “I’m still learning” and I hope I will be too!!
I want to grow in body, mind and spirit.

·      to physically challenge myself, to prepare for a long and healthy life
·      to learn new things and challenge my mind
·      and most importantly to grow closer to God.

I’m a "planner," but this time I am stepping way out of comfort zone because I have no idea where this will lead... or what this journey will bring!
So, here we go….
